Stewart Foodservice is owned by industry veteran Aubrey MacMillan. He started out in the business 47 years ago at Burgess Wholesale, then an egg-grading station, working his way up through deliveries, sales and management to owner of what had become one of the largest Canadian owned foodservice distributors.
Aubrey sold the company and tried out retirement, but was soon lured back. In 1996, he bought Stewart Wholesale, then a struggling tobacco and confectionary wholesaler. Within a few years, Aubrey and his management team had transformed it into a modern, customer-driven full-line food distribution company.
Our management team is made up of seasoned experts in the business who all share our devotion to our partners' success. In addition to owner and CEO Aubrey MacMillan and son Mike MacMillan, Director of Operations, they are: Bob Blumel, Director of Sales, Dennis Hrytzak, Director of Finance and Purchasing Manager Ed Lamb.
