OUR COMPANY

Stewart Foodservice is owned by industry veteran Aubrey MacMillan. He started out in the business over 50 years ago at Burgess Wholesale, then an egg-grading station, working his way up through deliveries, sales and management to owner of what had become one of the largest Canadian owned foodservice distributors.

Aubrey sold the company and tried out retirement, but was soon lured back. In 1996, he bought Stewart Wholesale, then a struggling tobacco and confectionary wholesaler. Within a few years, Aubrey and his management team had transformed it into a modern, customer-driven full-line food distribution company.

Our management team is made up of seasoned experts in the business who all share our devotion to our partners' success. In addition to owner and CEO Aubrey MacMillan and son Mike MacMillan, President, they are: Bob Blumel, Vice President-Sales, Dennis Hrytzak, Vice President-Finance, Joe Brennan-Key Account Manager, Darcy Lennon-Director of Sales and Purchasing Manager Ed Lamb.

The Right Size
We are large enough to source and offer the best products, invest in a well-stocked warehouse, computer systems and infrastructure to serve customers efficiently. Yet, we are small enough to keep the focus on individual customers and their needs.
The Right Products
We are proud of our 99 % fill rate. On the occasion that a product is not available when the customer needs it, we call first and check before substituting an alternate in the delivery. If you don't see an item you need, we'll make every effort to find it.
At The Right Time
Our warehouse is always well stocked. Our drivers are friendly and reliable. In fact, our trucks are so well maintained that they recently received a top rating from the Ontario Ministry of Transportation.
